About us

The inter.research Institute is a non-profit association, founded in 1999 with the support of the Fulda University of Applied Sciences and a local firm (the former IntraWare corporation). Since then work of the association has been dedicated to the following objectives:

  1. Advancement of the cooperation between representatives of different sectors and research areas
  2. Promotion of intercultural skills and international understanding by the organisation and support of international educational projects
  3. Advancement of the exchange between science and public in events, seminars and publications of the Institute

At the moment the institute operates in four thematic core areas:

  • Computer-based learning
  • International educational programmes and exchange programmes
  • User-friendly technologies for the information society
  • Educational and research management

In its thematic core areas the Institute works together with public institutions and decision-makers of the region. Furthermore, the Institute cooperates with nationwide and international partners from higher education, as well as from the area of research and industry.

In addition to seminars, lectures and information activities the institute inter.research e.V. works particularly in form of projects.

Projects that suit the objectives and principles of the Institute can be initiated by the Institute as well as by its partners. Every person and every organisation that would like to support the association and its goals (as sustaining member) or would like to actively take part in projects and plans of the association can apply for a membership of the Institute.
